I am a mother who is on an amazing journey with my brave and beautiful transgender daughter. This book is not meant to tell her unique story, but a story that is meant to help young children understand that gender is not binary and not simply defined by body parts, but instead defined by that which is in our hearts and in our minds. I can only imagine that our journey would have been easier if we had read books like these when my daughter was a child.
